Hey everyone,

We are well on our way into 2019 and wanted to give you a little bit of an update on what's happening in the world of Adventures in Missions, specifically with our jobs, as well as some prayer requests.

Beginning tomorrow, 65 participants will be arriving on campus for training camp to launch on their Semesters trips. It's a program for 18-21 year-olds and Ronny has had the privilege of helping prepare them to launch. He'll get the chance to meet all of the participants he's been talking with for the past several months and be part of their training camp before they go.

I continue to spend my days talking with high schoolers and their parents. Having the chance to help put a parent's mind at ease or celebrating an upcoming winter formal really does bring me a lot of joy. If there's anything I've learned, it's that high school is tough. Many of our participants have experience with some mental health challenges personally or from someone they know. Shortly before Christmas, we found out that one of our participants from a trip this past summer took her own life.

These challenges are real. I don't share this to be a downer or spread fear, but life is tough for this upcoming generation.

We've, of course, had incredible moments of celebration and spiritual breakthrough to accompany those sad circumstances, but it's something that needs to be monitored.

Our prayer requests are these:

1) That the participants would arrive safely for their training camp this weekend, learn a lot, and get excited to leave on their journeys.

2) That Ronny would get the chance to connect with the people he has been talking on the phone with for last several months.

3) That there would be people who would choose to love on the teenagers in their lives and continue to share the message of hope that is available to all of us.

More to come. If there is anything we can be praying about for you, please let us know!
